The CTX Coyotes Inline Hockey Club wants that Hockey                        Equipment that’s collecting dust in your Garage!

Turn in your old gear and get a tax deduction!*

The equipment collected will be made available for the Beginning Hockey Players!  Our goal is to provide 5 players a month with enough gear to start a Beginning Hockey Program. Last year we assisted nearly 10 children with protective gear.

As you are aware, getting started in Hockey can be an expensive commitment. The CTX Coyotes organization is asking you to donate your old hockey equipment and we will provide you with a receipt that you can use as a deduction on your income taxes!

Our intention is to reduce the cost of getting a child started in hockey by providing some of the required equipment.

We cannot achieve this goal without your help!

What’s in it for you? You have ANOTHER OPTION that is better than cash when it comes to giving to the CTX Coyotes. Gifts of old and out grown hockey equipment to our kids offer you these outstanding benefits:
Receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction for your
          old/out grown gear,
       Clean out your garage/closet!
       Reduce adjusted gross "taxable" income.
Make larger gifts at a lower cost than cash

Q: Who can you contact to donate your old equipment or volunteer for this program?
A: Coach Gladwell 254-699-3529 (agladwell@ctxcoyotes.com) or Stop by Killeen’s Skate Palace during practice.

Q: What types and sizes of gear do we need!
A: Any and all equipment will help!

* Contact the IRS / Accountant / Lawyer for legal specifics.

Inline Hockey is the world's fastest growing sport, being played in over 37 different countries worldwide. It has also been proposed to become the next Olympic Sport in the 2008 Olympics.  It is best described as "Non contact Ice Hockey on roller blades". Since the American Blockbuster "Mighty Ducks" hockey has experienced an unprecedented growth pattern worldwide.  It is often referred to as Ice Hockey's little brother but although Inline is quite similar to Ice Hockey it has many differences.  The main difference is with Inline Hockey there is no boarding or body checking permitted. This makes the injury factor very low, in fact, one of the sports with the lowest reported injuries.   People who don't show a lot of interest in traditional sports like football and cricket often try Hockey and get hooked straight away.  It's known in Hockey circles as "The Hockey Bug". Nike Sporting Manufactures recently predicted Inline Hockey to be the world's largest sport by the year 2006; presently the biggest is Soccer.   Nike believed so strongly in this prediction that it has since begun manufacturing it's own range of Inline Hockey equipment. In America there is 2 million Inline Hockey Players a fair achievement for 12 years. American Inline Hockey College games are so popular that they can receive up to 70,000 spectators for a single game.  (http://www.skatelinehockey.org/history/)

CTX Coyotes are a USA Hockey Inline Sanctioned League

USA Hockey InLine was created to answer the increasing demand for structured league play, as well as educational coaching and officiating programs within America's inline hockey movement. USA Hockey InLine is dedicated to growing the sport of inline hockey by assisting in the development of sanctioned leagues throughout the United States. Sanctioned leagues provide participants of all ages with opportunities to compete locally, statewide, regionally and nationally.

League play is at the core of USA Hockey InLine. Without these local sanctioned leagues, in which players, coaches and referees regularly have the opportunity practice, apply skills and learn new ones, the sport will not develop. These community based programs instill a sense of ownership and belonging into all participants.

USA Hockey InLine sanctions over 600 local and travel leagues annually and provides them with valuable member services to help leagues become successful and profitable. These services are designed with the best interest of the sport and its participants in mind while removing many of the obstacles presented to League Administrators nationwide. Benefits such as standardized playing rules, streamlined league and tournament sanctioning procedures, comprehensive insurance coverage, resource materials for all participants, special events and tournaments, and consulting services to league administrators are all a part of the USA Hockey InLine program.

As a non-profit organization, revenue derived from inline hockey membership registration fees, corporate sponsorships, and other sources is specifically earmarked for the further development of programs and activities at the grassroots level.
